Privacy Policy
Fit This is built so your training data stays yours. This policy explains what the app does with data, in plain language.
The short version: your data lives on your device. Fit This has no accounts, no server, no analytics SDKs, no ads, and no trackers. We never see your data, and we can’t.
What the app stores (on your device only)
- Your training profile: name/label, goal, experience level, weekly target, unit preference, coaching preference.
- Workouts you log: exercises, sets, weights, reps, effort ratings, and workout times.
- Routines and custom exercises you create.
- Client profiles a trainer creates on their own device (see below).
This data is stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone and is included in your normal iPhone backups. Deleting the app deletes it.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, Fit This:
- Reads your date of birth, biological sex, height, and body weight to establish your profile and show body-weight trends.
- Writes your completed workouts and workout effort ratings to Apple Health, so they count toward your Activity rings and Training Load.
Health data is used only for these features, only on your device. It is never transmitted off your device by Fit This, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or sold — uses Apple prohibits and we don’t do. You can revoke Health access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Apple Watch
During a workout, the Fit This watch app measures your heart rate and streams it to your iPhone to display live effort. Fit This keeps only the session’s average and maximum heart rate in your local workout history.
Trainer mode
A trainer can create client profiles on the trainer’s own device. Client workout data lives on that device only. Apple Health never connects to client profiles — Health data belongs solely to the device’s owner.
Data export
You can export all your workout data as a CSV file at any time (Settings → Data). Export is user-initiated; the file goes only where you choose to save or share it.
What we don’t do
No accounts. No cloud storage. No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No advertising. No sale of data. No tracking across apps or websites.
Children
Fit This is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them (it collects no personal information at all).
Changes
If future features change how data is handled (for example, optional accounts and sync are planned), this policy will be updated first, and the app will ask for any new permissions explicitly.
